What does audio EQ have to do with Energy Markets?
Recording and mixing audio is a hobby of mine. If an instrument or voice is not properly set up in the mix, it will sound wrong, even if the instrumentalist or vocalist is hitting all the right notes. A few judicious adjustments with EQ, gain, pan and effects can have a dramatic effect! Hello, I’m Jason Cox
My career in the energy industry started in the US Navy; I was stationed on USS Carl Vinson (CVN-70) as an electrician supporting the nuclear propulsion plants. After the US Navy I was a Journeyman Operator at the South Texas Nuclear Project. Following my time at STP, I’ve had experience in electric system operations (holding ERCOT & NERC System Operator Certifications), asset management (trading & optimizing both natural gas & power), directing Regulatory policy & strategy, including market design efforts for PJM, MISO, CAISO (including at FERC & NERC). My past employers include Houston Industries, Constellation Power Source, Dynegy, and EDF Trading North America.
